| 17/11/03 : Back from Bali sans luggage | |
We are safely back in Perth although our luggage is taking an exclusive all expenses paid trip Sydney courtesy of Garuda International Airlines. The decision was made to remove some bags from the plane in Bali so that it could take on more fuel due to a storm in Perth. Our bags were two of the lucky ones, taking with them our keys to car and house which proved a sticking point. Thankfully the Garuda people in Perth kindly put us up for the night at a nice hotel and promised to have the bags by Monday afternoon. This little drama is holding our trip up for a day but it's not a major worry.

Rode elephants through the jungle today which was great, running out of time in the internet cafe so i would just like to add th.....

| 06/11/03 : Bali is ace | |
Well, we are in Bali and it's grrreat! The weather is 34 degrees and 100% humidity which makes it feel like a sauna most of the time. The food and drink is superb and very cheap ( we just had a 2 course meal with drinks for £3.50 for both of us!).
This afternoon we were sat by the pool in our hotel drinking cocktails and generally relaxing, not bad eh!

| 02/11/03 : Off to Bali on Thursday | |
Well, we are off to Bali on Thursday the 6th of November staying at the Bounty Hotel for 11 days which will bring to an end our year in Perth. You should see some images from Bali appear on sloo after a couple of days so keep watching. Our itinerary involves riding elephants, bike riding down a volcano, snorkeling on the reefs around Bali and some good ole sitting by the pool drinking cheap cocktails! There is actually a bar connected to the swimming pool of our hotel so you can swim up and drink your drinks. My only worry is the ease of not getting up to go to the toilet!

| 18/10/03 : England beat the Boks | |
England got past the Springboks at Subiaco tonight here in Perth in what was a tense but entertaining game. There were roughly 25000 people supporting England in the crowd, a mixture of Brits who live in Perth along with people who've come over for the world cup. It made for a cracking atmosphere and a great memory to help close off our year in Aus. Still think New Zealand will win the cup though.
