10/11/02 : Pictures coming soon
We've been snapping away with the digital camera and have some great pics to put up here. I have, however no means to move them up here as i need drivers and Net-cafe PC's won't let us.

10/11/02 : Perth is great
Never have I been pestered into eating and drinking a variety of solids and liquids as I have in the last 36 hours.

The people of Royal Brunei Airlines did their best to stuff me solid with Dinner, Lunch, Breakfast, Snacks and some strange puddings and peanuts. The flight was great, and we are not too jetlagged as there wasn't much sleeping going on during the flight as we had places like the Alps, Middle East, Thailand, Vietnam and borneo to see on the way across.

The Aussies have been great and are very friendly and helpful, especially the guys at the airport.

Overall a great start to the trip!

07/11/02 : 12 hours to go!
Only twelve hours till we fly from Heathrow. I have a very large bag and loads of stuff but it is less than I took to Corsica for 2 weeks last summer!

I am exited and nervous as it is a very long way to travel for a long period of time. I'll miss everyone back home, but it means I won't have to get a job for a while!

It is very easy to sit at home in a comfy little world and go on and on in our own little bubbles without taking any chances, and making a major change. Lets hope this one works out for Julie and I.

here we go!

17/10/02 : Indonesia worries
With only three weeks to go, the state of affairs in Indonesia isn't helping matters.
The Foreign Office is advising against travelling through our flight stopover destination Brunei. Although we don't stay for long I want to get to Australia as smoothly as possible.

24/9/02 : Another weekend gone
Yet another weekend goes by with little incident, leaving me with only 44 days till we leave for Australia. Main events from the weekend were a trip to Julies which involved sitting and watching England get thrashed by India in the cricket, as well as lots of nice food and a game of tennis. Norgan is hasling me via email to respond to his emails and marcus has been trying to get me to download the new Unreal Tournament. I shall try tomorrow night when i leave work.
