| 11/2/03 : Off to Margaret River | |
We are off to Margaret River this weekend to enjoy some sun (yes more), surf and shops. Margaret River is a small town, situated right on the bottom corner of Western Australia and is home to some of the finest surf breaks in the Country. It’s safe to say that my body-board and fins will be traveling by my side at all times.
It will take us three to four hours to get there by car from Perth, the Australian equivalent to just popping down the road.
Photos and info will be added to the site when we get back. In the meantime check out margaret river online for more information.

| 15/1/03 : Pictures trickling through | |
The pictures are trickling through at the moment as we are not up to that much. We’ve not been doing to much sight-seeing as our work levels are rather high and our play rates a little low.
Julie is still working 7 days a week at a boarding kennels and I have just picked up a job doing web development 10 minutes up the road. The fruits of these efforts are that we will have a bit more spare cash to go and see some more stuff, leading to more pics ;-)
Hope everyone had a good time over Christmas and New Year. Remember, only 350 odd days till Christmas!!!

| 27/12/02 : Happy Holidays | |
Hope everyone had a good Christmas and is still enjoying the fun. We've had a great time, going to party after party (well 2 actually). I will put some pictures up online now so you can get an idea of what we've been up to. Christmas day was around 33 degrees which was a welcome change from the high 30's-low 40's that we've been having over the past week. Just a bit warmer than the UK but I am told the weather on the whole was reasonable, although no snow(as usual).

| 18/12/02 : Jobs 'R' Us | |
We are no longer freeloading moochers, it's official. Julie and I have both been able to pick up a pair of good jobs within the last week, much to our delight (and annoyance at not being able to live at the beach anymore).
Julie has a job working for a boarding kennels in the suburb of Canning Vale and I have a job working for Aardvark Internet Publishing based an hours drive away in Mandurah.
This is quite an achievement as we were both actively seeking this type of job.

| 18/12/02 : King of the auctions | |
Been to the auction today and bought ourselves a 1.5 Hyundai for $1950! Being the poor ex-students that we are we couldn't survive on just the one car, so we got another, simple as that.
The real reason is that we are both driving a fair distance to work most days so 2 cars was a necessity. The car, yet to be named, has 160000kms on the clock and was made in 1992. It's a sporty model so it goes well and looks much more appealing than are current beast. The list price for a similar car, sold through the private system is $2500-$3500 so de boy(and girl) done good.
